Wouldn’t you love to take your CYA Intermediate or Advanced course on salt water, in the home waters of the ‘Bluenose’? Our courses are conducted on Nova Scotia’s world famous South Shore.
We offer two live aboard courses – the CYA Intermediate and the CYA Advanced.
CYA Intermediate Sail in the home waters of the Bluenose! This course is a live-aboard 5 day course conducted on the 35′ sloop ‘Michaela’, a centre cockpit Swedish built Hallberg-Rassy. This course is recognized as the bareboat charter standard and deals with living aboard a boat. You learn cruise planning, weather, boat systems, navigation and piloting, further develop your sailing skills and MORE, under the guidance of a very experienced skipper and CYA certified instructor. CYA Advanced This is a 6 day CYA Advanced course. This live-aboard is geared for those who have had their CYA Intermediate and Coastal Navigation Standards. The course consists of an extended voyage complete with overnight sailing, standing watch, advanced navigational techniques, all under the watchful eye of an experienced skipper and CYA instructor.
